Why You might need an Employee Solicitor

Sometimes things go wrong at work, and you need help to understand whether or not your employer is treating you properly.  You may have a grievance or claim for discrimination or harassment, or you want to whistle blow but are afraid of retaliation?  Or perhaps you are being taken through a disciplinary, performance or redundancy process and have been offered a settlement agreement?   If you have a disability, you may want help getting your employer to understand your needs. In any of these scenarios an employment lawyer can provide you with some practical advice on what to do and how best to protect your position.

However, not all employment issues are negative.  You might want help negotiating a new contract, service agreement or bonus terms with your employer.  We can help you with this too.

Ultimately you might need advice and guidance on the merits of any potential claim and representation in an employment tribunal.

FAQs about Employment Law for Employees

There are strict time limits for bringing an unfair dismissal claim in the employment tribunal, so the first thing to do is get advice on the deadline by which you have to lodge your claim.  Once you know this you can get advice on the merits of any claim and take steps to protect your position.

This very much depends on the type of claim, so as soon as you think you might have a claim, because for example, you have been terminated from your job, or an act of discrimination or harassment has occurred, we recommend you take advice so that you can protect your position.
