Breakthrough Supported Employment

Breakthrough is a supported employment service in Bracknell Forest.

Our aim is to help people with learning disabilities and/or an autism diagnosis to prepare for, achieve and maintain meaningful employment. We find that many people with a learning disability and/or an autism diagnosis want to work and do not want to be dependent on benefits. Paid employment can provide a sense of independence, both personal and financial, that they would not otherwise have. It allows them to make a wider circle of friends, earn money and put their skills to use in creative ways and achieve their full potential.

With each Pride month, companies unveil rainbow logos and send office wide emails of solidarity. These gestures are valuable, giving visible demonstrations of support, but only really make a difference if those companies are able to truly say that their policies and practices are inclusive and legally compliant.
