Deal announcement: Clarkslegal’s corporate / M&A team advise Pat Avenue on its acquisition of UK toy company, Trends UK

Clarkslegal is pleased to have advised Pat Avenue, the global children’s toy designer and manufacturer, on its acquisition of Trends UK, a UK toy company. Trends focuses on science and educational toys and represents a major coup for Pat Avenue as it makes a serious splash in the UK toy market.

The transaction was led by Head of Corporate Ashan Arif with support from Senior Solicitor Jacob Montague.

Joaquin Heras, CEO of Pat Avenue commented “I was delighted with the help and support provided by Clarkslegal’s corporate team in helping us make this important acquisition in the UK, especially given that I’m not based in the country. Finding the right advisor who could navigate the complexities of the deal was crucial, and Ashan and the team were exceptional. I would strongly recommend them for M&A work”.

Ashan was pleased to get the deal over the line, commenting that: “It was a complicated (and sometimes problematic) deal for a number of reasons!  Some long and a few difficult negotiations eventually bore fruit as we successfully concluded the deal for the client.  We are delighted to be part of Pat’s entry into the UK market and look forward to a long and strong relationship.”
