Rebecca is a Senior Associate in the Immigration team, primarily specialising in business immigration. Rebecca guides her clients through the intricate process of applying for a sponsor licence to employ migrant workers, and once granted, advises businesses on the numerous obligations associated with sponsoring migrant workers.

Rebecca works with her clients to ensure their corporate entities and structures remain compliant with the transient nature of the UK Immigration Rules and provides bespoke right to work advice and training for clients who employ individuals in the UK. Rebecca additionally possesses unique expertise in representing commercial clients to challenge unlawful civil penalties and invalid sponsor licence suspensions issued by the Home Office.

In addition to her business immigration work, Rebecca has over 5 years of experience in all areas of personal immigration, guiding individuals through the various private immigration routes with view to acquiring Indefinite Leave to Remain / Settlement and British citizenship.

Prior to joining Clarkslegal, at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic when travel bans were at their peak, Rebecca represented a high-profile professional race car driver in obtaining UK immigration permission to drive in the prestigious Formula One World Championship.

Rebecca has personally experienced the daunting process of immigrating and naturalising in a new country, spending her formative years in London and then moving to New York City and is therefore deeply passionate about her work as an immigration solicitor.

Sponsoring migrant workers

Rebecca advises clients on all aspects of applying for a sponsor licence and regularly assists sponsors with the preparation and submission of their sponsored worker’s visa applications.

Right to work compliance

Rebecca is experienced in visiting client premises to review their methods of conducting right to work checks and providing a detailed report highlighting areas of concern. Rebecca regularly provides seminars and training sessions aimed at helping HR staff understand how to carry our prescribed document checks correctly.

Individual visa applications

Rebecca has extensive experience in all types of private immigration visa categories, including but not limited to Indefinite Leave to Remain and Naturalisation applications, Tier 1 Entrepreneur and Tier 1 Investor visa extensions, Ancestry visa applications, spouse/fiancée/unmarried partner entry clearance and extension applications, and EU Settlement Scheme Family Permit applications.
