Clarkslegal advises Principal Logistics Technologies acquisition Chess Logistics Technology

Clarkslegal led by Jon Chapman and Dillon Eustace LLP, led by Conor Keaveny advised Warehouse and Supply Chain management software specialist Principal Logistics Technologies Ltd on its latest business acquisition WMS expert Chess Logistics Technology.  The acquisition included Chess Logistics Technology’s in-house developed Empirica and Socretes WMS warehouse management systems along with ProSKU, a cloud-based WMS and order management system.

Peter Flanagan, Principal Logistics Technologies’ founder and Managing Director commented “I am delighted by this acquisition. It builds on our longstanding experience in developing and deploying innovative warehouse management and supply chain business solutions and related technology. Company fined £80,000 for selling personal data without owners’ consent

The ICO has fined data brokering company Verso Group (UK) Ltd £80,000 for a serious and deliberate contravention of the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA).An ICO investigation found that the company had supplied personal data to two other companies who then used the data for telemarketing purposes (including nuisance calls).
