Employment partner and HR extraordinaire Helen Beech discusses the Gender Pay Gap Regulation and why the call for information should be just as important to SMEs as it is to large corporations.
Currently, the Equality Act 2015 outlines that companies with over 250 employees will need to provide the public with their gender pay gap data.
Helen Beech, Employment Partner at Clarkslegal, believes that SMEs can also have a huge role to play in closing (and eventually eradicating) the gap.
“SME’s need to be encouraged and educated on the quality and skills that women bring to a workforce. Each gender brings a quality to an organisation that adds to rather than detracts from a business’ ultimate objective.”
